On Monday, March 11, CKDU-FM presents "SOUNDS DELICIOUS", a day of radio
programs focussing on food issues. Learn about biotechnology,
trade-related aspects of food, and how agribusiness is affecting Canada's
farmers. Get practical information on how to make a garden in your yard,
learn how to pickle your favourite vegetable, copy some recipes that use
local, in-season foods, find out where to buy sustainably-caught fish, and
where to find free food in the city. Also, find out about wwoofing, hear
from Nova Scotian organic farmers, and get an historical perspective on
food production in Halifax. Tune in to hear from the Raging Grannies, the
Radical Cheerleaders, and listen to stories, poems, and songs about food.
There's more, too, so if you'd like to find out more, call 494-2585.
