In Search of Lost Adventure: Special Edition
-------------------------------------

[Editor's note: We've decided to break the flow of Mitch's travelogue with
this special dispatch he wrote last week from his home in New York. We'll
continue his stories from the road in two weeks.]

- New York City, September 2001 -
Mitchell Stephens

I have found this world, so far, to be big but not particularly bad. At
the moment, I am not engaged in making my way around it; I'm at home.
However - and here is my own tiny irony to go along with all the terrible
ironies exploding around here - something very big and very bad has just
happened in the world, not in the Sahara or any of the other exotic places
I have been visiting, but near my home.

[. . .]

[Paul's note: for copyright reasons, I can't post the whole text here.
