Hi Paul, I would appreciate it if this could be posted. Thanks, Kasia ******* You are invited to attend a Forum on Transportation in Halifax, March 7-9 at the Halifax Hall. Having devoted previous efforts to considering "Which way Metro should grow?" and "Centers in the Region", this year's Forum will focus on transportation. The nature of our streets, the pattern of regional growth, the time it takes to get to work, the level of air pollution, even our recreational choices are affected by the transportation system. The challenge is to imagine a region which considers land use and transportation and individual choice and collective aspirations together as part of a single vision. Issues facing the region include... Is it possible to reduce the need for movement? Can we think of transportation, land use and growth together? What is a reasonable balance between public transit and private automobile? Is this an important moment for the region which requires us to make bold and far-reaching decisions? Where do we go from here and how do we get there? Draft Agenda (all events at Halifax Hall) ******************************************* Wed.
