The Point Pleasant Beatle (sic:) opens up a converstation about natural "pest" control. Ie intoduceding nematodes that are natural predators of the beetle larvae to the affected spruce. Great summer job and teh trees could remain standing. There is a large company in Ontario called NIC Natural Insect Control that specialzes in introducing both "beneficials" and "predators" into the ecosystem. I question why the media buys the clearcutting options as inevitable gospel and doesn't seek deeper connectedness with the natural order and cycle.
