Index of Subjects Hi Owen Agreed. Our original plan was a $10 and $5 or $15 and $8 (reg and student) lecture. but the only available dates corresponded to the already scheduled NSNT dinner. The Trust would not have tried to compete with Suzuki, hence no major fundraiser for them till at least Feb (Dec is Christmas and Jan is dead), which would have them in a very precarious financial crunch. Combining them, at the exclusion of many people (even many who can afford the price - we'll be sold out a month in advance!) still seems the lesser of undesirables. Politically the dinner is also slightly better - and the whole purpose of the tour is to get the feds to move on species legislation. The feds know that 99.9% (well maybe 98.6%) of the students and enviros support species legislation (this isn't a put-down, I've spent my entire life in this category!). What might move them a bit is the realization that profesionals and big corps are also concerned. It's worth a try. (The surveys all come up in the 94% range, so obviously its mainstream and then some, but that hasn't done the trick either.) My understanding of Suzuki's schedule is that he arrives Friday afternoon, does this talk, spend saturday in public consultations on MAI as part of a panel (is tied up in the evening as part of the panel) [for those interested in MAI, this is advance notice, but it is quite literally all the info I have.] I believe he leaves on Sunday or perhaps Monday AM. I'm willing to approach him for a Sunday talk, but would we get the attendance?
