Hi Harry, To connect to Chebucto PLUS (a graphical PPP connection with which you use a browser such as Firefox), you need your PLUS userid and password. You use the setup wizard in Windows (unless you have a Mac) to create a new network connection. It will ask you for the service name: CCN, the phone number: 9024946744 (no spaces, no *70). It may ask you the domain name: chebucto.ca (then again, it may not - various Windows setups are different). As for your current problem; you are connecting with Chebucto text (which is the text account users without graphics can use) and it is also the userid and password of your email system. Don't confuse this userid and password with your PLUS userid and password as it will confuse the system and you will connect to the text service. We use two separate passwords for better security even if the userid may be the same. The text service uses the Lynx text browser and not a graphic browser like Firefox. How are you connecting to CCN? What do you do to start the dialing process? Something is getting messed up at this point before you are even connecting to us.
