Hi all,

Sounds like a very meeting and good solutions!

Personally I've not had problems with RCS. Bytimes I've found it useful
(restoring a deleated file) and I find the capability to edit files
on-line extremely useful.

Weeding out old RCS files for files that have been deleated is a bit of a
pain (and many IPs forget to do this at all, resulting in a great
proliferation of such).

I can see that in some instances where the numbers of such files are large
that this would chew up quota and hence pose problems.

In general, if we can find mechanisms not to introduce RCS to users that
are managing websites solely through FTP this would be advantageous (why
make things more complicated?).

Also, if there was a CRON regulated script that would periodically search
directories and delete RCS/*.html,v files for which no equivalent *.html
files exist, this would free IP editors from this tedious task and
(presumably) free up a not inconsiderable amount of disk space.

Carry on! ;->

Cheers,

Chris
