Nice ideas: this is an interesting approach! It's definitely easier on the
eyes, and the metaphor of a circle around the logo is both suggestive and
interesting in terms of visual design and communication (welcome relief
from viewing things in lists and columns). It gives the literal and
figurative sense of the CCN being at the hub of movement and activity. I
think its a first-rate effort!

I'm currently looking at it in both Netscape 4.7 & Internet Explorer 4.5
and (on my G4 system: OS 9) they are almost indistinguishable.
