	Very well, let's begin beta testing of a white bgcolor (FFFFFF)
and light grey (C0C0C0). Both colors should accurately display on any
system with a minimum 16 colors resolution (which should cover
virtually all legacy equipment still in use) without cross-hatching or
interference patterns. Both colors provide maximum legibility for text,
particularly when default font sizes are used. 

	I will put up a directory with test pages this evening. The
benefits of using a solid color over a background graphic are two-fold:
faster loading and wider compatibility with all manner of different
displays.
