I have been getting some strange messages from syslogd. It is
broadcasted to everyone who is logged in, but I'm not sure why. It simly
says:
Message from syslogd@valley1 at.... (the date)
valley1

and that's it. valley1 is our server name. At the same time I notice in
the /var/log/messages file two messages one of which I believe is related
to the broadcast.

A message from tq:
pinuse a negative number; maybe tq/timetable needs higher totals
And A message saying:
syslogd cannot glue message parts together

I'm posting this here first in case it may be related to a tq problem,
and in case somebody has seen this before.
Next I will post it to the linux-adm list I am on to see if anyone there
can offer some suggestions.

Thanks,
David
