The equivalent accepted syntax <a name= works perfectly well for this purpose. Of course there are functions which will always be Lynx-specific, but that does not need to be one of them. Besides, we do not need to lead new sites to use stuff that is not widely supported, thus breaking (for some browsers) pages that they write, using our pages as models. It's not good user support.
