They _should_ go in CS_ROOT/etc/conf.  What's confusing is that they
should have gone in CS_ROOT/etc/conf on the last install too (as far
as I can tell).  And that's where pine should be looking for them 
(defined in pine/pine/osdep/os-lnx.h-csuite).
