I already spoke to David Trueman about this. It was my undrstanding that 
we were free to use these files and to edit them so they were appropriate 
to our site. We were, however, required to keep the copyright messages 
and add a note to indicate they were edited for our use.

I really like the old stuff. Besides, it takes a fair amount of effort to 
become familiar with the construction of a site. All I want to see at 
this point is a site on which everything works, looks like it belongs to us, 
and gives us the information we need.
