If this is a technical question, I don't know the answer.  If it is a
linguistic one the answer in my opinion is no.=20

As for the problem of "s" at the end of "message" in the singular, the
solution as outlined by you seems very complex. I did not realize that
initially.  I thought it was just a matter of putting "s" in parentheses
at the end of every occurence of "message" and attached adjectives, so
that for instance the current "Detruire 1 message supprime(s)" would read
"Detruire 1 message(s) supprime(s)".=20


Another remark:  Have you noticed that in Index, you can't press a
number (say 1, 3 or 4) to "jump" from one message to another?=20
