Index of Subjects Le Dim, 4 Mai 1997, Robert Cormier =E9crivait : > >The hyphen between msgs and "archives", "reportes", "envoyes" is also > >redundant.=20 >=20 > In this case, it is a file name. Is the space allowed in a file name? If this is a technical question, I don't know the answer. If it is a linguistic one the answer in my opinion is no.=20 As for the problem of "s" at the end of "message" in the singular, the solution as outlined by you seems very complex. I did not realize that initially. I thought it was just a matter of putting "s" in parentheses at the end of every occurence of "message" and attached adjectives, so that for instance the current "Detruire 1 message supprime(s)" would read "Detruire 1 message(s) supprime(s)".=20 Another remark: Have you noticed that in Index, you can't press a number (say 1, 3 or 4) to "jump" from one message to another?=20 Regards. R.M.
