Index of Subjects Hello Colin, Le Mar, 24 Jun 1997, Colin J. Williams =E9crivait : > Robert, >=20 > I use Kermit version 3.14 (3.15 is available without charge). >=20 > The dyacritics are presented correcly. The MSDOS version works quite well, but my experience has been that it does not behave so well under W95 > The W95 version is available for about CAN$70 but I have not acquired it. >=20 > The W95 permits the use of ZMODEM as well as the Kermit protocol. >=20 > Colin W. I use Kermit 95 at work, but I couldn't do the diacritics properly with it, as it is really a hybrid, with a text interface, and restricted to the default fonts, as far as I can tell, which don't handle the diacritics well. Perhaps someone else could figure out how to make it work correctly - perhaps the choice of Lynx display font is critical. In any case, although I have been a Kermit booster from way back, I have to admit I've switched under W95:( See my other note :) I still use Kermit 3.14 at home, where my machine doesn't have the guts for 95 yet. (BTW, Kermit does Telnet, and Kermit/Zmodem downloads over telnet, too, and more advanced emulations up to vt420) Ed Dyer aa146@chebucto.ns.ca (902) H 826-7496 CCN Assistant Postmaster http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/~aa146/ W 426-4894 CSuite Technical Workshop
