The role of Ruth, Leslie and myself was to provide a homepage for the conference, but we might not be the proper forum to discuss the technical side of supporting the diacritics in the CCN pages. It is obvious that there is a need to better document the settings requirements, and the more general issue of 8-bit characters. I have raised the problem already in other forums with no results. For example, I cannot read the accents when I access my account from the Spring Gardens' PAT. I believe the PATs should be tuned-up to support the 8-bit characters.
