Hello Kevin and Dana,

Could you outline what kind of capability your FreeCom offers?

What we are trying to operate, with less success than we are comfortable
using, is a full graphics www terminal (using Lynx) which also offers
telnet to our system to do e-mail and other access (using Lynx interface)
and connected via either Cable modem or ISDN.

The push for this kind of service comes from our local CableTV operators,
who wanted to demo the kind of potential their service might provide, and
who have donated substantially to our operations.

We were unhappy with the level of security we could attain with any of
the DOS level solutions we tried, so we have moved to Linux and
X-Windows as an operating system environment.
