CANADIAN ROLLER COASTERS
by Location

This lists all the permanent or semi-permanent roller coasters in Canada's past by location. Park or location names are in alphabetical order and include amusement/theme parks, exhibitions, and similar amusement areas. With the exception of the "Unknown" sections, the coasters themselves are shown in chronological order based on when they first ran at the given location. (Note that some may have been used rides when they first ran at the given location.) Following each Name is the Type, Designer, and Years of Operation.

NOTES

COASTER NAME
The Coaster Name column shows the last official designation each defunct ride used. Other names employed are shown in brackets. These may have been ones the owners used at differing times or additionally, common monikers the public gave to describe a favourite ride.

LOCATION
Notes for a moved ride will give the previous or subsequent location. Some information on these moves may be found in the article of the same location name under Closed Canadian Parks.

QUESTIONABLES
A `?' after a coaster name indicates it may not have actually ever been at the given location. Sources often give conflicting information, but the ride is listed because some evidence to that fact has been found. It will continue to be shown with a question mark until its existence is proved or disproved. A question mark after a location name indicates that the coaster existed but perhaps not at that location.

TYPE
The Type gives the basic "wood" or "steel". Additional designations are explained by the Legend at the start of the chart. Realise that although some wooden coasters had steel structures, they are classed as "woodies" because the track is flat steel supported on laminated wood.

DESIGNER
Fields for Designer may show the manufacturer, with or without the designer's name(s). A question mark after a name means that the designer of the ride may be other than shown.

YEARS of OPERATION
Years of Operation may include some that the ride did not operate but remained standing idle. The first year-number may be the year of manufacture or the year the ride first operated at the given location. Double dates separated by a slash indicate the year of manufacturing and year of first operation at that location.

UNKNOWNS
Unknown locations of known roller coasters are shown last. They are followed by a summary table of unknown coaster names as already shown in the individual main listings.

STATISTICS
If known, the height, drop, length, and top speed for each coaster below are located in an article of the same location name in: Closed Canadian Parks, if its park is included there.
