Emergency Drop Biscuits
2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk (or milk and water)
1 tsp salt
2 Tsbp shortening
Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Stir in
liquid and drop from spoon on oiled baking sheet. Bake in hot oven of
450 deg F, for 15 to 20 minutes.

Prepare one recipe Quick 'N' Easy Roll Dough
When doubled in bulk, punch down and turn out on lightly floured
board. Divide in half
Form each half into a roll 9 inches long. Cut with a sharp knife
into smooth balls. Place in greased muffin pans.
With scissors, divide rolls in half, then in quarters, cutting
almost through to bottom of rolls. Brush lightly with
margarine.
Cover and set in a warm place, free from draft. Let rise until
doubled in bulk, about 30 minutes. Bake in hot oven at 425 deg F,
about 15 minutes.
Quick'N Easy Roll Dough
Scald -
3/4 cup milk
Add and stir in -
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 tsp salt
4 1/2 Tbsp margarine
Cool to lukewarm
Measure into bowl:
3/4 cup warm (not hot) water
Spinkle in 2 pkgs fast rising dry yeast
Stir until dissolved
Add lukewarm mixture
Add and stir in 2 1/4 cups sifted flour
Beat until smooth
Add and stir in additional 2 1/4 cups sifted flour (about)
Turn dough out on lightly floured board. Knead.
Place in greased bowl
Brush top lightly with melted shortening
Cover with clean towel
Let rise in warm place, free from draft, until doubled in bulk,
about 50 minutes.
