Today a great-crested flycatcher dropped into the yard of Dorothy Poole in =
Milton. It was very vocal, but quickly moved on. I missed it by five minu=
tes. We saw three chimney swifts in Milton. I sent co-ordinates through o=
n Facebook for the Maritime Swift Watch website. Another Baltimore oriole =
with a male in Milton today. A turkey vulture flew over the house of Dorot=
hy Poole in Milton while I was there. A new yard bird for her. In Welshto=
wn there were six black-throated blue warblers at various locations along t=
he road.

In Welshtown, my first Duskywing for the year. I need to ID it though from=
photos. I'm assuming it is a dreamy. Numbers of tiger swallowtails, a sp=
ring azure, either a mustard or cabbage white and a sulphur were also seen.=
There were other butterflies on the move, but did not take the time to ge=
t an ID as I was focused on birds. Dorothy has had a pine elfin in her yar=
d in Milton. There were a few dragonflies on the move also, but they did n=
ot stop long enough for me to ID them.

I had a couple of red-winged blackbirds hot on the tail of a mink that ran =
across the road this morning in Broad Cove. There was a European starling =
moving its wings like a whirly-gig which was interesting also.
