I forget exactly. I was going camping for a week or so around Pestowesk. I could drive to the lake at that time - the good old days! Anyway just before I got to the Farmlands Trail near that wet spot a female woodcock and 3 - 4 chicks were on the side of the road. The chicks were small! That would be about May 4 or 5. I went back and told Peter and he came with the cameras . I don't know if he had any luck. It was a good omen nevertheless - the fishing was good! Do you think we will be able to go fishing in Keji come April? Or will I need fill the bathtub!
