I had four chimney swifts over the Anglican Church in Lunenburg yesterday a=
fternoon. In the evening at the main stage tent for the Lunenburg Folk Har=
bour Festival, I saw about 10-15 groups of common grackles on the move amou=
nting to about 150 birds. There were also a number of flocks of other blac=
kbirds, some of which were red-winged blackbirds. I didn't have my binocul=
ars with and was not officially birding so I can't provide estimates. One =
group had at least 20 birds in it. So I assume migrants coming in or on th=
e move going out before the storm today. They looked more like they were c=
oming in though.
