Thursday, February 23, 2017 - Migratory Songbird Declines: Lessons from =
Shrikes and Swallows - Tara Imlay

7:30PM Lower Auditorium, NS Museum of Natural History, 1747 Summer =
Street, Halifax, NS=20

Many migratory songbird populations are experiencing population =
declines. Because of the wide geographic range used by these species =
throughout their annual cycle, research is needed to determine where =
populations are limited and target conservation resources. Tara will =
describe the Loggerhead Shrike recovery program in Ontario, including =
the efforts to recover the population with a unique captive breeding and =
release program, and research to identify where the population is =
limited. She will also share her research on Bank, Barn, Cliff and Tree =
Swallow population declines in the Maritimes.

As always, these talks are open to the public with refreshments to =
follow.

Selections of Natural History books will be available for purchase and =
give away.=20
