Yesterday afternoon at Palmeter Woods (W. Kentville)=2C there were at least=
 4 Queen B. ternarius (Bumble Bees) along the main trail. Could not get a p=
hoto as they were continuously moving as they searched for a suitable nest =
hole. Odd location for a nest as they would be far from any nectar/pollen p=
lants?

There were a few singing birds including Yellow-rumps=2C 1 Black & White Wa=
rbler=2C a Brown Creeper.=20

In the Scotian Gold Plant yard=2C I noted among the piles of stacked boxes=
=2C there were some that still had apples in them=2C now quite fermented. A=
 flock of at least 20 Cedar Waxwings were flying from the trees to the boxe=
s. None of them appeared to be tipsy unlike a few years ago when the apples=
 were left in piles and attracted Robins. Some Robins had difficulty standi=
ng upright.
