That would be a Queen=2C Paul. Interesting sighting as usually Bombus terna=
rius (Tri-colored) is not the first Queen out. That's usually Bombus impati=
ens (Common Eastern Bumble Bee) which is the most common bee in the spring/=
early summer. Have yet to see any so far.

   Hi All=0A=
   =0A=
  =0A=
The first Bumble Bee that I've seen this spring visited the garden today=
.
=0A=
   =0A=
  =0A=
A beautiful tricolored bee - big - it checked out the hyacinths=20
=0A=
   =0A=
  =0A=
and a few dandelions that are out. I had hoped it would come
=0A=
   =0A=
  =0A=
to my hand for some honey but I wasn't that lucky.
=0A=
   =0A=
  =0A=
Some years there are rhodies out by this time but some deer
=0A=
   =0A=
  =0A=
made a lunch of my early rhodie earlier.
=0A=
   =0A=
  =0A=
A lovely day - enjoy the spring
