Remnant from pre-explosion or remnants of a native Picea rubens (eg)
forest?
Wildlife
Infiltration
Cooling
Natural space for mentality

Surveys could be conducted this time of year for basidiomycetes and plants

An ill-considered reason to lose trees and urban habitat and ecological
functon. Particularly if to set a stage for historical respect/remembrance.
Halifax has lost many of its natural landscapes from explosion era. .stream
and kissing bridge at base of inglis..a skating pond near Oakland Rd. .the
pond encircled by willows that is now a skatepark on Commons.

I think we are just warming up and a little media wouldn't hurt
