Jim's post on yellowlegs reminds me that there was one lesser yellowlegs
at Eagle Head on Sunday (Aug 9) with at least 3 greaters, some SB
dowitchers, 4 whimbrels, 3 commonterns, BB plovers, the usual peeps, a
couple of spotted sandpipers, and what I'm calling a juvenile spotty (no
striping, constantly pumping, but with a clear eye ring that had me
thinking solitary -- butits being on the ocean side of the beach and the
pumping action point more to spotted).
