This little, fast moving beetle (5mm long) was IDed on BugGuide as a Leaf Beetle (Chrysomelidae), possibly Tricholochmaea. I would guess kalmiae, which feeds on Laurel (Kalmia spp) and put it out here in case anyone recognizes it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/17239283053/in/dateposted-public/ The bright orange/red colouring would suggest a warning of some sort to predators?
