I searched for Woodcock in Cumberland County, and while I did not get them in their traditional field (north of Port Greville), Andrew Wagstaff and I heard them in 2 locations while doing the Nocturnal Owl Survey. I was surprised at the scarcity of common birds such as early wablers, chickadees and kinglets in the Port Greville area yesterday while doing a migration count along the Seal Brook Road.
