Pat McKay and I got out for a bit of birding yesterday. Highlights =
were:

- Yellow-rumped Warblers (4 in about 1/3 km) and a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, =
Bellefontaine Road at Crowell Road;
- Killdeer, 1 at Three Fathom Harbour;
- Willets - 1 at beach at Dyke Road, Grand Desert; 2 along Shore Road, =
West Chezzetcook;
- Greater Yellowlegs - 1 at Three Fathom Harbour, 3 at West Chezzetcook;
- Great Blue Herons and Red-winged Blackbirds back in good numbers;
- American Kestrel perched on a wire, Grand Desert;
- Belted Kingfisher - Pat's first for the year, though I saw 3 last =
Sunday in Three Fathom Harbour;
- Black-capped Chickadee entering a nestbox with a mouth very full of =
nesting material;
- swallows (6 Tree, 1 Barn) over the marsh at Shore Road, West =
Chezzetcook.

Pat also saw one of the Blue-winged Teal in the ponds behind =
Lawrencetown Beach.=20

Cheers,
Susann Myers
