Hi All=2C
The first couple of tree swallows have arrived at my nest boxes. The usu=
al MO is that they will hang around for a few days and then move on. In a f=
ew weeks the next wave will arrive and the breeding season will begin.
Lots of activity (20 species+/-) at the feeders now=2C as 1'-3' of corn=
snow still covers virtually all open areas and ground foraging is almost i=
mpossible for most species. No warblers or rarities as yet but most of the =
usual migrants that should be here by now have arrived.
This warm sunny spell should allow for some areas of bare ground to ap=
pear but it will be weeks=2C unless we have a real heat wave=2C before we s=
tart seeing large swaths of bare open fields or forest undercover.
      All the best.=20
