his spring -- was more woodcocks but not good news</b><br></span>< This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------050409000605040901020705 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1252; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit I have been trying to feed the robins in our neighbourhood. After a trip to Costco, I put out apples, grapes, strawberries, suet and a chopped up hard-boiled egg. One robin has come and considers it his/her stash. It chases off any other robins and allows only starlings to get at it. So much for sharing the wealth. I put more out front so that at least one more robin could feed. 90% of the time it eats only the apple. I have seen it with a grape and occasionally it will peck at the suet and egg. Nothing, including the starlings, will touch the strawberries. I guess I will have strawberry shortcake tonight.
