Just a note to let = you know that we had an American=0A= Woodcock visit our back garden this morning. It spent a few moments=0A= under our yew hedge and then moved through the privet into our=0A= neighbours yard and moved on.Very unusual visitor to the city! Irvine & H= ope Gray Clayton Park=2C=0A= Halifax=0A= =0A= =0A= I have had robins here eat diced apple and banana.They=0A= are hanging around for 4 days now and look healthy=2Cchirping.I also=0A= have woodcocks who will probably starve unless it warms up fast.This=0A= has been the winter from hell!Aubrey Wagner=2CSHOREHAM VILLAGE=2CCHESTER=0A= =0A= No woodcocks on my property yet=2C but sis-in-law Rosemaryin Guys. Co. has = had a pair coming for a few days and staying pretty close to her. She is pu= tting out suggested food now.______________________________________________= ______________=0A= I just wanted to report=0A= two American woodcock sightings=3B one in my yard=2C Wilkie's Cove=0A= road in Middle Lahave=2C and one in my parent's yard on Macdonald=0A= Street in lunenburg. We also have a large flock (20-30) of robins=0A= coming to feed on our stand of sumac flower heads and catch the=0A= morning sun on our porch.=0A= Kind regards=2C=0A= Emily Marshall =0A= =0A= Ruby has asked me to=0A= give you a report of the flock visiting her " bar and grill "=0A= on the =0A= =0A= Chester Peninsula.=0A= Robins x 6 are here eating on frozen berries=2C assorted sparrows=0A= numbering 8=2C=0A= Chickadees x3=2C large=0A= male peasant=2C numerous crows=2C bluejays x6=2C a redwing blackbird and=0A= the most thrilling visitor=2C a woodcock seen in late afternoon in the=0A= garden patch which has snow melted along house. The woodcock has been=0A= here for about a week. Ruby is housebound and enjoys feeding and=0A= watching her flock on a daily basis.=0A= *Note to readers that Ruby is 102 years old=2C but still enjoyingthe birds.= _________________________________________________________More to follow=2C = as fast as I clear one email another is coming in.This just shows the exten= t of the migrants in the area.
