I'll try it again when I get home but it even w= orks amazingly well on my phone. Thank-you so much for all your great input. A big thanks to everyone that gave permission to share photos. As I've noted in private emails=2C the naturalist/birding community is a very accommodating/happy-to-help bunch. So thanks for that! I have a rough copy of the map up and going. There will be a nicer-looking map up and online in a few weeks=2C however I thought it would be cool to share the working copy=2C and get some feedback on tweak the data. The map is powered by a Google Spreadsheet=2C <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LqefIKkXvR5jiSL_AMQLV8hp5jUDnufzff= jVJl76N1E/pubhtml?gid=3D0&single=3Dtrue> and updated through the ArcGIS Online server. For anyone interested=2C I ca= n grant you permission to edit the Google Spreadsheet=2C and you can add/alte= r records. The map itself can be accessed at : http://arcg.is/1zcIOGK I think this is an interesting way to share rare-bird data. As we've seen from the list-serve comments by Rick Whitman=2C and Keith Lowe there's no sure-fire one-click way to tease out rarities (which is really odd considering I've been contacted in the past to confirm records with photos [you'd think there is a filter here that could be accessed]). I'm in the process now of creating a map for 2015. I'd like to have this version populated by an online form=2C which in turn is fed by a Google For= m. This way=2C people can enter their own candidate observations into the spreadsheet (without requiring permission). I'd really appreciate any feedback. I find the map loads best in Google Chrome Browser. Some of the photographs don't render well in Firefox. Thanks again for everyone's help.
