Hi,

For the last few years we have had 2-3 Flickers visiting our feeders daily
all winter. I can't remember Flickers over-wintering except very rarely 20
years ago. Perhaps it's because we now put out bird pies, which they seem
to like. Here is a graph of Flicker numbers per party-hour on Xmas counts
in NS for the last 20 years.

The numbers seem to fluctuate greatly, with no obvious pattern that I can
see,
