In addition to chickadees, juncos, a whispering song sparrow, hairy 
woodpeckers, mourning doves, bluejays and one pheasant at my feeders, I 
am presently having many daily visits from a group of at least 9 purple 
finches (5F and 4M).

And my autumn asters, which at this time of year used to be visited by 
many monarch butterflies, none of which have been seen for several years 
now, have only an occasional red admiral butterfly, many bumblebees - 
and in the last few days, to my very great delight - a few honey bees - 
first sightingin 2-3 years!
