ers</a> is a documentary film that takes us on an adventure down below and =
across the globe, retracing the history of lost urban rivers.&#160; Intrepi=
d groups of subterranean explorers guide us through the hidden river networ=
ks of London, Brescia (Italy), Montreal and Toronto, to reveal the buried w=
aterways that house the secrets of each city=E2=80=99s past. Exploring rece=
nt initiatives to resurface and revitalize these forgotten waterways in Yon=
kers and Seoul, the fascinating Lost Rivers brings to life an aspect of urb=
an ecology that has long been kept secret.</p>=20
  <p>The film screening will be followed by a public discussion about Saw M=
ill River in Dartmouth and the unique opportunity that we have to revitaliz=

  <p>In the coming months Halifax Water will be replacing the ageing culver=
t in which Saw Mill River now flows from Sullivan=E2=80=99s Pond to the Hal=
ifax Harbour.&#160; The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has required fis=
h passage to be included in the new design. &#160;The Sackville Rivers Asso=
ciation and the Ecology Action Centre want to know: while we=E2=80=99re dig=
ging it up =E2=80=93 why not daylight it?</p>=20
