Both comets are visible in binoculars despite = moonlight returning to the morning sky. Observers with very dark skies = are reporting seeing both naked-eye.=20 There is now a long, ragged, roughly horizontal snake in the east by = late evening. From right to left: Rigel in Orion's foot in the = east-southeast, Orion's Belt, Betelgeuse, and Jupiter.=20 On Sunday, November 17, the Moon will go into its Full Phase (sometimes = referred to as the Full Beaver Moon). This means we will see the moon = all night. Expect higher high tides and lower low tides. On Saturday, November 16 the sun rose at 7:21 a.m. and will set at 4:47 = p.m. giving 9 hours 26 minutes of daylight hours. On Saturday, November = 23, the sun will rise at 7:31 a.m. and set at 4:40 p.m. to give 9 hours = 10 minutes of daylight hours (These values are for Moncton, New = Brunswick).=20 This Week's Planet Roundup=20 Mercury (magnitude =960.6) shines low in the east-southeast in early = dawn. This is its best morning apparition of 2013. Don't confuse Mercury = with Spica to its upper right. The gap between them widens from 12=B0 to = 18=B0 this week. To their upper left by about 30=B0 is Arcturus.=20 Venus (magnitude =964.8) is the brilliant "Evening Star" in the = southwest during dusk, shining just about as high and bright as it's = going to this year. It sets more than an hour after dark.=20 Mars (magnitude 1.4) rises around 2 a.m. It's moving eastward against = the background stars, pulling farther away to the lower left from = Regulus. By dawn, Mars and Regulus are high in the south-southeast. =20 Jupiter (magnitude =962.5) rises in the east-northeast around 9 p.m. It = blazes highest around 4 a.m.=20 Saturn is deep in the glow of sunrise.=20 David Currie 31 Old Birch Rd Dartmouth, NS B2W6B4 902-476-6616 ------=_NextPart_000_002A_01CEE231.518441A0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="Windows-1252" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

<DIV style=3D"FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Calibri'; COLOR: #000000"> <P class=3DMsoNormal=20 style=3D"MARGIN: 7.5pt 0cm 3.75pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; = mso-outline-level: 1"><SPAN=20 style=3D"FONT-FAMILY: ; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; = mso-font-kerning: 18.0pt; mso-fareast-language: en-ca"><FONT=20 face=3D"Times New Roman"><FONT style=3D"FONT-SIZE: 24pt">This Week's Sky = at a=20 Glance
<P class=3DMsoNormal=20 style=3D"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 7.5pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; mso-outline-level: = 4"><SPAN=20 style=3D"FONT-FAMILY: ; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; = mso-fareast-language: en-ca"><FONT=20 face=3D"Times New Roman">Some <FONT=20 face=3D"Times New Roman">night sky sights for November 15 =96=20 23<SPAN style=3D"mso-bookmark: = _goback"><SPAN=20 style=3D"FONT-FAMILY: ; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; = mso-fareast-language: en-ca">
<SPAN=20 style=3D"mso-bookmark: _goback"> <P class=3DMsoNormal style=3D"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: = normal"><SPAN=20 style=3D"FONT-FAMILY: ; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; = mso-fareast-language: en-ca"><FONT=20 face=3D"Times New Roman">
<P class=3DMsoNormal=20 style=3D"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; mso-margin-top-alt: = auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto"><A=20 href=3D"http://www.skyandtelescope.com/community/skyblog/observingblog/Co= met-ISON-Updates-193909261.html"=20 target=3D_blank><SPAN=20 style=3D"FONT-FAMILY: ; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; = mso-fareast-language: en-ca"><FONT=20 color=3D#0000ff face=3D"Times New Roman"><FONT style=3D"FONT-SIZE: = 14pt">Comet=20 ISON<SPAN=20 style=3D"FONT-FAMILY: ; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; = mso-fareast-language: en-ca"><FONT=20 face=3D"Times New Roman"><FONT style=3D"FONT-SIZE: 14pt"> has brightened = suddenly to=20 about 6th magnitude as of November 14th low in the east just before=20 dawn
<P class=3DMsoNormal style=3D"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: = 13pt"><SPAN=20 style=3D"LINE-HEIGHT: 16pt; mso-fareast-language: en-ca"><FONT=20 style=3D"FONT-SIZE: 14pt">Meanwhile, Comet Lovejoy is much higher = before=20 dawn and has been stealing the show.
