Lars,
I will go look at the carcass tomorrow and maybe freeze the head
incase it is needed for research.

  Dave,
There is a chopping they are going up into for their food but it's
about 4 years old and growing up in mixed growth. The brook has two
dams on it, the higher dam=C2=A0is where a small meadow/baron growth is.
The lower dam is in a more fast moving water and holding about 4 feet
of water in height back, this is where the chopping is. The forest
company did stay the 60 feet from the water. There are no Christmas
trees or ants that I have seen, quite a wet area, maybe further up into
the chopping in rotting stumps, good chance of that.
  =C2=A0
I have heard of poplar trees giving people an alergic reaction, one
person I know of, it has a scent to it. Beaver love poplar, you can use
it for bait for them=C2=A0but I never in this case.
  =C2=A0
As I said before, Dad had trapped for many many years and has never
seen this before. I am going by the Shubenacadiw DNR tomorrow, i will
stop in and ask them about it.
  =C2=A0
  All the best,
  Darrell
