--Apple-Mail-1-318231621 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Last eve I caught the very nice pass! ....a real neck-breaker here in = Avonport; it's not very often that I've seen the ISS pass essentially = through my zenith, and in a sky so transparent! Between 22:47 and 22:48, I also caught the Japanese supply vehicle = (HTV-4) as it passed through the Big Dipper handle (reached close to mag = 2, coppery-red in colour). It rendezvous with ISS on Aug 9. THIS EVENING looks like a clear one, so here is another interesting set = of passes to see: ISS between 9:18 and 9:21 p.m. out of the SW and across the SE (more = than half way above the horizon (56 deg in Avonport))=20 About 1 half minute later HTV-4 (the Japanese supply vessel passes too, = but not as bright) Same general track but a bit lower altitude.=20 A second pass of same I(SS and HTV-4) about 1.5 hr later. This time = through the Big Dipper part of the sky (northern)=20 ISS goes through between 10:55 and 10:56 HTV-4 goes through between 10:53 and 10:54 . This time the supply vessel = is a little ahead of the ISS.=20 They rendezvous early on Aug 9th =20 Sherman W.
