Ray Staszko and I took a visit to Mount Uniacke Museum Park on Saturday =
in search of owls and woodpeckers. We missed the Black-backed =
Woodpeckers but Downy Woodpecker and Pileated Woodpecker were present, =
as usual. A Barred Owl made a brief appearance and Ray got some photos. =
Other notable attendees were Brown Creeper and Winter Wren. Red-breasted =
Nuthatch was calling in the distance.

At home in Portuguese Cove we still have Dickcissel, Fox sparrow and =
Tree Sparrow(many). A Northern Flicker was a new arrival.

Ray found Yellow-rumped Warblers, Great Blue Heron, Great Horned Owl =
plus a bright male Wood Duck along MacIntosh Run, Spryfield.
