 spruce tree-40-0 feet or more high =96 and in the hole was the remains =
of a pheasant leg =2C from the 3 toes to the joint and attached to the b=
one to it=27s breast area =2E Just bone=2C everything else cleaned off =2E=
 Would this be the work of a rat or weasel=3F When I uncovered the snow=2C=
 the hole turned and went back down and under the stump/root/ base of th=
e tree=2E No tracks or feathers=2E Could this have been hauled there =3F=
 Haven=27t found a kill site=2E Do weasels kill pheasant=3F My working c=
areer was at Lands and Forests where the weasel was the only animal that=
