Just got home from the eagle watch. Was it cold-yes! with a bit of wind. The
crowds weren't as great this year but still enthusiastic.
We were there for the 9 am feeding and not many eagles wanted to come
down but the 11 am feeding came and so did the eagles. They didn't stay
long as some people decided they wanted to walk over the fields and
photograph them in the trees. Scratch that showing!
We came back at 12:45 and the truck showed up with more chickens. By
1:15 the eagles were putting on a great display and came quite near. Best on
the ground exhibit I've seen and the soaring was great. Of course by this
time very few people or photographers were about so maybe that is why the
birds came in so well. If my recollection is right, last year we got a better look
at them in the afternoon. Now to only convince my photography partner that
we don't have to get going at 6:30 am and I could sleep in and still get a
good look at them.
Hawks were about too. We go in via the Wolfville exit and by Tangled
Gardens there was what we think a rough legged hawk sitting in a tree.
Great day and good pancakes and sausages. Oh and this year for music we
got the hear a woman play the harp. Very lovely to listen to. Heather

but with our understandings and our hearts.
