Hi,

Yesterday there were about 40+ Goldeneye and 1 Lr.Scaup at the Port
Williams Sewage Plant. They were very skittish, and took off as soon as I
stopped the car, so I couldn't tell if there were any Barrows. Today I
approached very slowly from behind the building, but as soon as I raised my
binocs, they took off . There were less today, ?20. Again I couldn't tell
if they were all Commons, but those I could ID in flight were.

I went down to Grand Pre at lunchtime to try and find Pine Grosbeaks (there
was 1 F. feeding on Ash Tree seeds in the parking lot) but the interesting
finding was about 500+ Black Ducks on the mud at Evangeline Beach. Tide was
about 1 hour past high.

Richard
