Hi all,

Slightly belated note here, but the Christmas Bird Count along the south Da=
rtmouth waterfront on Sunday, 16 Dec. yielded an interesting surprise: a fe=
male American Kestrel perched on a tree above the walking trail that runs b=
elow the NS Community College campus. She appeared to be hunting something =
in the grasses below.=A0 Has anyone else seen kestrels lately?=A0 Perhaps t=
hey're more common than I thought.
