< This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_016B_01CDAF0B.385889C0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I believe there is the occasional Cougar in NS in the summer. I was = driving to Shelburne one night when a deer crossed the road in front of = me. Obviously something was chasing it- I waited a minute and a cougar = crossed the road in front of me. I know a cougar when I see one - = nothing else looks like it. That is not enough to satisfy people who don't know me, and = rightly so. I doubt that there will ever be anything that will prove = their existence - always there is the possibility that they escaped from = a zoo, or someone brought one in from out side the province, or someone = is just trying to fool people. I think some people will believe one = drops in occasionally during the summer, and others will believe that is = just garbage. It is surprising that people are more willing to believe = in the presence of some unusual bird than in the presence of an animal = known to travel long distances.
