I don't know what species but a chap came along=0Aan= d he named every one. Made an info overload for me!=0AThere was some visito= rs to the beach. The ones with dogs were very=0Acareful not to disturb the = birds - the dogs were remarkably well controlled=0Abut an idiot with a came= ra not so well. He had a big long nosed camera but=0Ahe had to walk right d= own to scare the flock away. He didn't get away=0Awithout a blast from me -= if he had of been a dog, it was tail between legs time.=0AThe birds get qu= ite tame when you are fishing. One flock stayed less than=A0=0A10 meters fr= om me. I done the usual fishing things, casting, pulling in fish =A0or=0Aju= st sitting. and none of this disturbed them.=0AHowever just after high tide= a Peregrine Falcon came up the shore. Flying up about=A0=0Atree height wit= h a bank so it was up a piece. When it spotted lunch and just over head=0Af= rom me it folded its wings and came down like a lightning bolt. The peeps w= ere not=0Aasleep and scattered. A Herring Gull who had been standing near t= he same spot took=0Aof much slower and didn't seem aware of the falcons pat= h, and there was nearly a collision=0AFalcon and Gull. The falcon served at= the last second and missed the gull by inches.=0AThe peeps took advantage = of the situation and=A0the falcon left without lunch and carried=0A=0Aon do= wn the shore.
