The tide = was high most of the time we were there and the wind was brisk from the = NW with a few white caps so difficult to see all that was on the Strait = side. In the 14 species of shorebird we had 2 flying Golden Plover. The = shorebird list is below. No doubt, more shorebirds would have been = tallied with a lower tide.=20 Our Bonaparte's Gull count was 455 incl. 6-7 juveniles. Passerines were = not plentiful with only 4 warbler species.Our tally was a lowish 55 = species. We noted a few butterflies including a rather fresh Least = Skipper. Thanks to Jim Edsall with ID help. I don't think I had this = butterfly for my atlassing on Big I. before this.
