This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0007_01CD7F1F.60308A40 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Although my primary interest in Natural History was with birds, as my = high frequency hearing continues to "go south", I have developed an = increasing interest in our flora as well as leps and odes. Although apparently others are seeing oodles of butterflies recently, = they do not seem to be where I am. I have been seeing quite a few = species of dragonflies and damselflies (the odonates) and in fact I've = recently seen several "lifers" most fairly close to home. On a walk in the Nature Trust property in Purcell's Cove on Saturday, I = saw Brush-tipped Emerald, Shadow Darners, Azure Bluets and many of those = confusing Meadowhawks (Cherry-faced/Ruby/White-faced?). A walk around the Mount Saint Vincent campus produced Lake Emerald = (lake, what lake?) and what I believe is a Spot-winged Glider but I'm = not sure about the latter. Both were captured for photos and then = released. The weekend before last in the southwestern part of the Province we = encountered what I thought initially were Slaty Skimmers but after = netting one it turned out to be a Seaside Dragonlet, another new = species!! Finally I did capture what appears to be a Snaketail species (lots of = green on the thorax) but I cannot ID it to species. If anyone would = like to take a look at my pics, I'd be happy to send them along. Cheers, Bob McDonald ------=_NextPart_000_0007_01CD7F1F.60308A40 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META name=3DGENERATOR content=3D"MSHTML 8.00.6001.19298"> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>Although my primary interest in Natural History = was with=20 birds, as my high frequency hearing continues to "go south", I have = developed an=20 increasing interest in our flora as well as leps and odes.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>Although apparently others are seeing oodles of=20 butterflies recently, they do not seem to be where I am.
