Check out http://butterfliesofamerica.com/polygonia_interrogationis.htm for images from all angles, and http://accdc.com/butterflyatlas/Question%20Mark.pdf for Maritimes specific information. Cheers, John ________________________________ From: Eleanor Lindsay <kelindsay@eastlink.ca> To: NatureNS <NatureNS@chebucto.ns.ca> Sent: Thursday, July 5, 2012 8:33:32 AM Subject: [NatureNS] Butterfly ID requested While I am familiar with quite a few butterflies, I have had many sightings around my property of one I can't identify. What's frustrating is that I think it is likely a very common one, but I have had no success trying to find it on several butterfly sites. The upper part of the wings is a goldeny-orange, tapering down to brown. The upper part has several black/dark brown spots, (one rectangular, the others round). I can also provide a picture if wanted. Eleanor Lindsay Seabright, St Margarets Bay ---822996273-1011424665-1341490344=:48959 Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Maybe a Question Mark?
